S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc. strives to empower the members of our community by establishing person-centered relationships, providing advocacy, educational, recovery, and social services, and creating affordable and safe housing opportunities.

S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc. opened their doors on June 1, 1997, and began as a one-room Drop-In-Center. Our mission was to provide people with mental health issues with support as they move back to the larger community.

While staying true to our grassroots  mission, S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc.. has grown from assisting only those discovering and recovering with mental illness, and now aims to  improve the mental, physical, and emotional health and well-being of every member of our community. 

 

Our small Drop-In Center has continued to expand. We now provide opportunities for peers to participate in various educational, recovery, and social activities. Renovations for our most recent expansion are moving along quickly, and we are excited to open the doors of our new program that will provide housing for those in need and host community events. We can't wait to see all that the next twenty-five years will bring!
