Making Fitness Resolutions That Will Last All Year

Updated: May 17, 2023

Podcast Interview with Bridgette

We are all thinking about the changes that we are going to make in the new year, and if you are anything like me, you’ve probably had too many Christmas cookies, holiday meals, and cocktails and you are thinking about how everything is going to change in just a few short days. So, this week's podcast couldn't come at a better time. Join us as we talk fitness, nutrition, and New Year's Resolutions with Bridgette Havens, group fitness instructor and nutrition coach.

Bridgette has an inspirational story that she shares with us. When she was faced with health challenges she chose to make some changes and take control of her health. In her podcast Bridgette shares how she got moving, stayed motivated, made lasting lifestyle changes, and how her fit community offers her the support and encouragement to help keep her on track.

So, what is the secret? How can we be successful when it comes to making change in our lives? Bridgette's journey began eight years ago and she shares how she got started in the beginning as well as the changes that she has continued to implement over the years. It doesn't happen overnight, but Bridgette was initially able to start feeling better just by getting moving and making small changes. Her body began not only began to feel better, but her initial weight loss helped keep her motivated enough to stick with it.

In Bridgette's podcast she revealed that attending group fitness classes were a big part of her success. In her podcast she talks about many of the classes that she has tried over the years, and she discusses how much the group fitness class encouraged her. She talks about the "fit community" that she has built around her and how much it continues to motivate her to this day. In fact, Bridgette loved the group fitness atmosphere so much that she decided to become a group fitness instructor herself and offers many classes, both in-person and online.

The most recent training that Bridgette has added is to become a nutrition coach. Bridgette realized that not only was getting moving an important part of improving her health and wellness, but the nutrients that she was feeding her body played an important role as well. Both Bridgette and her clients have had much success with the health and fitness model that she represents.

Bridgette's story was incredibly inspiring and gave me a lot to think about, not to mention some great strategies to take into 2023 with me.
