May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging conversations about mental wellness. This year’s theme from Mental Health America is “More Good Days Together” — a reminder that healing, support, and hope grow stronger through community and connection.

At S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc., we believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and connected. Throughout the month, we will be recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month through informational emails, community activities, and opportunities that encourage wellness and belonging.

As part of those efforts, we are excited to host a special Community Brunch this Monday in honor of both Mother’s Day and Mental Health Awareness Month.

Join Us for Community, Connection, and Conversation

This event is open to anyone who would like to join us for food, fellowship, and connection as we continue striving to create safe and welcoming spaces where people can feel part of a supportive community.

Whether you stay and visit, stop in briefly, or grab a meal to go, we would love to see you.

Why Community Matters

Mental health is not something people should have to navigate alone. The “More Good Days Together” campaign emphasizes the importance of:

  • Building meaningful community connections

  • Creating supportive spaces where people feel welcome

  • Encouraging small daily habits that improve wellness

  • Breaking stigma through understanding and conversation

Sometimes something as simple as sharing a meal, checking in with someone, or spending time together can make a meaningful difference.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Month theme encourages all of us to reflect on what a “good day” looks like — not only for ourselves, but for our neighbors and our communities as well.

At S.T.E.P. by S.T.E.P., Inc., we know that support systems matter. Through housing services, community programs, advocacy, and peer support, our mission has always centered on helping individuals build stability, connection, and hope.

More Good Days Start Together

As we continue recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite our community to join us in creating spaces where people feel supported, valued, and connected.

We hope you’ll stop by Monday morning for brunch, conversation, and community.

Together, we can create more good days.
